Embracing the cozy!
Well, here I am working from home and fall weather has finally arrived! Colder temps and even some snow flurries this morning. I’m drinking a cup of herbal tea and using my mug warmer to keep it piping hot. The beagles are all sleeping (and snoring) soundly in various spots around my desk.
Earlier this morning, I decided to try a new recipe for potato soup in my “Green Pan” slow cooker. Found it on Facebook (link below). Got some frozen dinner-roll dough rising, so we can enjoy some hot, fresh, bread with dinner.
While it is cooking — I’m also hand painting some wood snowflake ornaments I recently ordered. While they are lovely plain, I just can’t help but embellish — making each one different. Like real snowflakes! I’ve ordered some holographic paint to give them an overall shimmer later and I plan on adding some bling here and there…but here’s some pics of my work so far! I included a pic of my favorite mug and my most senior beagle, Squid, snoozing away.
While crafting, I’ve been thinking of our most recent show — the Los Lunas High School Craft Fair. We did well, and I recently found out that it was their first one! Fair amount of foot traffic. It was a lovely school, and the cheerleaders were excellent hosts. They helped vendors haul their gear both in and out, took concession orders and delivered the goods, so there was no need to leave our booth. They held an old-fashioned cake walk, which was a lovely and unique addition.
It was exciting to meet new patrons and gab about my products, the new website, and my business overall. I passed out lots of my cards, so I hope to see you on here, too!
We’ll be at another school craft fair this weekend (check out our events page for the info), so check us out! Meanwhile, enjoy the fall weather that’s finally here, and embrace the cozy in whatever form that is for you.
